Crown Fest

This is a fictional festival set in an alternate reality. Created for education purposes. Crown Fest celebrates hair because it represents the power we hold. Hair is a symbol of beauty and strength. It gives us confidence, makes us feel good about ourselves, and the possibilities of styles are endless. Crown Fest celebrates the fact that black women have been wearing their hair in different styles for centuries. From braids to beehives to afros to dreadlocks and everything in between. I created the prints seen at the bottom to emulate the beauty and patterns that can be created with braided hair.
